Hey guys! In this video . I want to talk to you about a lead generation hack, how you can use other people’s content to help grow your list. So really what we’re going to be doing here is curating quality content for your ideal prospects, dripping it out to them, sharing it on your social media, just finding ways to share it with them, providing value, because the other people’s content that you’ve curated for them is doing that, and then leveraging it to be able to drive leads back to your business, have them opt on to your list, and/or have them consume your content after they’ve consumed the content they’ve seen.

All right, so we’re going to find an article that would add value to your ideal prospects written by somebody else. There’s plenty of ways that you can go out and find quality content. I mean, you can do a Google search, you can look through BuzzSumo, Google Alerts, LinkedIn Influencers, or really however you find content for your particular niche.

You’re going to want to copy the URL, and you’re going to want to have some piece of content of you own. Now, that can be a checklist, a step-by-step guide, a video, a blog post, a podcast; really depending on what you’re trying to push them back to, if you’re trying to build your list, you’d probably want to send them to some sort of lead magnet where they’d opt in to get that content.

If you’re just trying to create awareness about your content, you may just send them to a blog post or a video or podcast that they can listen to for free. You may pixel them when they land there, but there’s tons of things that you can do using this strategy to really grow your engagement, grow your list, grow your audience.  So I’m going to show you how you can build your list by sharing quality content, and hopefully you’ll get something out of that.

So, what you’re going want to do is go out and find some content. So let’s assume, here’s a piece of content, 19 Genius Dental Marketing Ideas to Grow Your Practice. So this is a piece of content that has some ideas related to dentists. One of them is reviews, and making sure that you get quality reviews. Here’s another one, How to Boost Your Contact Marketing with Social Proof, Customer Reviews. Again, this is on MarketingProfs, they’re an authority site on marketing. They’re not specific to any niche, but you can do is you can share this with somebody in the dental niche, or in another niche, and then what you can do is drive them back to a piece of content that speaks specifically to that niche.

So what they’ll see is, they’ll see the value of the idea and then you can say something like, “If you’ve liked this blog post, or you got something from this, and you want to see how you can apply it to …” the dental niche, or whatever niche you’re in, and you have content created specific for your niche around a similar topic, it’s a perfect opportunity to send them back.

So how you can do this is, using a site like, snip.ly, and what it looks like is this. You’ll going to your dashboard, and what you’ll see is, at the top you’ll have, “Enter a URL.” So it’s really simple to use, you go, you grab the URL, you go back to Sniply, you click, “Create Snip.”

I already have a lead magnet set up for a free dental guide, How to Triple Your Five Star Reviews, so it’s already set up for me here. You can customize it, change it however you want, so depending on what you want to do, you’ll see you’re able to customize it. I’m just going to snip it just to show you what it looks like. You then grab the URL. You go to a new browser, and what you’ll see is, it brings up that article, but it overlays a little banner, and as they scroll though, it stays there, and when they click, you can send them to a, like I said, a lead page, like a squeeze page, where you can get them, or you can send them direct to a guide if you want to send them to a guide.

I think in this one I’m just using a guide for reviews that walks them through a process. But it’s really, really simple to be able to do, and Sniply tracks, kind of the clicks for you. You’re able to modify it. If you have paid version you’re able to change the look of the banner, add pictures, add a different background so that it pops. You can change what you write in there, so if some title there … you may want to tie into the exact title, saying something like, “If you like this article, xyz, I have content that complements it specific for your niche. We’d love to share it with you. Click here for more information.”  Or download now. Or watch this now. So on and so forth.

But it’s a ways for you to leverage quality content that will serve your audience and at the same time give you an opportunity to grow your list. Especially if you’re using something like BuzzSumo to curate the content, you’ll see what’s kind of being shared for your industry, or shared for a particular topic related to marketing. Those are great ones to put on your social media, because they have a natural tendency to be shared, and people are going to end up sharing your Sniply link, and everybody that clicks on that link is going to see your banner, and it gives you an opportunity to drive traffic back to your site, capture leads and hopefully grow your business.
