When optimizing a client’s web-site (or your own) you should consider the use of proper Meta Tags.

We have compiled a guide for setting up meta tags using Yoast SEO in WordPress.

See The Guide Here;
Meta Tags Guide

We have also compiled a checklist for you of the important factors you need to consider when inputting your Meta Description and Meta Titles.

Check it out here;

When our team is working on a new client site, or when we are getting ready to build a rank and rent site we start with research.

I have already shared our guide for using Screaming Frog to pull 5 competitors sites in a different city, which allows us to see what is working in a competitive market from an on page setup standpoint.

We aggregate their page name, title, slug, meta descriptions, H1 and H2 tags.

We use this information to pull together a plan for page names, titles, descriptions, and key words.

Then we use the Meta Guide listed above and get our VA to populate the meta information.
